Today is world Heart Day, a day set aside in creating awareness and solution to Cardio Vascular Diseases CVD, including heart disease and stroke.
According to report, CVD is the world’s leading cause of death claiming 18.6 million lives each year.
In reducing the risk of CVD and other heart related diseases in Nigeria, an Associate Professor at the University of Ibadan and the head of Cardiology Unit, Department of Medicine, University College Hospital Ibadan, Dr DAPO OLULOLA charged citizens to reduce their rate of stress, do more of exercise, tests and take medications.
The theme of this year’s World Heart Day is: USE HEART FOR EVERY HEART.
