MINISTER FOR EDUCATION, ADAMU CALLS FOR PROPER FUNDING OF NIGERIA’S EDUCATION SYSTEM

Minister of Education, Malam ADAMU ADAMU says there is nothing bad in having Nigerians’ leaving the shores of the country to study abroad.

Malam ADAMU who was reacting to the data of how Nigerians travel to seek for foreign education due to the poor state of tertiary education and incessant strike by Academic Staff in the country.

He is of the opinion that if there is proper funding, the education system in the country would have moved past the current dwindling stage.

The Minister of Education added that the Academic Staff of Union of University ASSU has not gotten back to him on the 23.5% and 35% salary increment for the striking lecturers.
