Oyo state Ministry of Health in collaboration with Tuberculosis Control Programme Partners have stressed the need to invest resources to ramp up the fight against Tuberculosis and reduced the mobility rate.
During the Press conference organized in commemoration of the 2022 World Tuberculosis Day with the theme ” Invest to end TB, Save Lives,” Oyo state Commissioner of health Dr TAIWO LADIPO, disclosed that Oyo state ranks 13th highest TB burden State within the country, which has necessitated the provision of 564 health facilities that offer TB treatment in the state.
As part of efforts to combat the prevalent rate of this disease, the state government has flagged off awareness creation across the 33LGAs and free community outreach testing
