The OYO State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Commandant, Adaralewa Michael AKINTAYO today the 1st of March, 2023 joined other stakeholders in the celebration of the International Civil Defence Organisation Day.
According to the State Public Relation Officer DSC Okuneye O.A, the State Commandant described this year’s theme as a concept that seeks to alert us on the need to harness the dynamics and evolution in Information technology in prevention or mitigation of any occurrence that may have negative impact on lives and property.
He further emphasized the need to incorporate Information technology (IT) and Risk Assessment as key components into the processes and Governance structure of any organization.
He called on the good people of OYO State, cooperate organisations and the Governmental institutions to key into the rapid advancement in Information technology in achieving safety and protection against potential threats at all times.
The State Commandant congratulates the Commandant – General Dr. Abubakar Audi Ofr, mni and the entire management and staff of the Corps on the occasion of the 2023 International Civil Defence day and prayed for grace to witness many more years of celebration.
