Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo state has taken delivery of the sensitive and non-sensitive materials required for the successful conduct of the March 18 gubernatorial and state Assembly Elections in the state.
Head of Department, Voter Education Publicity Gender and Civil Society INEC ,Oyo State, ROSE-MARY ADENIYI, who was on one of our political programmes (Mokajue) on Tuesday, confirmed the reconfiguration of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and assured that there will not be repeat of the hitches experienced during the February 25th presidential elections.
Among preparations already put in place by the commission is the provision of adequate ballot papers to meet the exact number of voters in various polling units.
ADENIYI disclosed that INEC is in talks with Transport operators in the state to ensure adequate logistics to various polling centres on Saturday before the commencement of elections scheduled to start by 8:30am.
ROSE-MARY also encouraged residents to come out en-mass in the state to vote on Saturday
