OYO GOVERNMENT PROMISES TO REDUCE RATE OF TUBERCULOSIS IN THE STATE

Oyo state government has promised to continue to enlighten residents of the state on how to reduce the rate of Tuberculosis cases in the state.

Deputy Director Pubic Health Dr BABALOLA JOHNSON made this known while speaking during a review programme organized by Break Through Action Nigeria for media practitioners in the state.

Dr BABALOLA while speaking on the giant strides taken by the government in making the state Tuberculosis free said the agency has been engaging schools teachers and pupils which has yielded positive results with testing and treatments.

Dr BABALOLA who is also the state tuberculosis and leprosy control programme manager advised parents to also monitor their kids whenever they notice them having consistent cough going for more than two weeks and take them to the nearby primary healthcare centres in the state for free treatment.
