Nigerian women have been urged to support and stand up for each other in any situation they find themselves.
This and more were of the focus of the Rose Day event organized by the Zonta club 2 of Ibadan, in commemoration of this year`s International Women’s Day themed “Accelerate Action” .
Speaking at the event organized on Tuesday March 11, 2025 at the Zonta house Jericho Ibadan, President ZONTA Club 2 Ibadan ENIOLA OYEDELE said Women should start supporting each other to thrive together and move the nation forward.
Mrs. OYEDELE noted that, with focused women in the country young girls can be trained to be bold and compete in the greater stages.
Some participants at the event who were majorly women also called for more room for Nigerian women in decision making on bigger platforms.
The event which featured intergenerational panel discussion also had exchange of roses to symbolize women support.
The International Women’s Day is always celebrated on every 8th of March
