Global Media , Information Literacy Week- EXPERT CALLS FOR CONSISTENT TRAINING OF JOURNALISTS

Proper fact checking and through investigation of news story before disseminating to the public has been described as one of the professional ways of ridding the media off fake news and misinformation.

A multimedia Journalist and trainer DAMILOLA FAJINMI made this known on Friday while featuring on Solutions FM’s weekly current affairs morning show AM UPDATE in commemoration of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week .

DAMILOLA FAJINMI who lamented on the failure of journalists to confirm information from credible sources has brought down many media organisations and put men in the media profession behind the bar.

DAMILOLA FAJINMI also suggested that media organisations and independent journalists to be involved in consistent training and retraining on the job to know the professional and new ways of fact checking information and improving their daily activities on the job.
