All tiers of Government have been charged to work together in reducing the increased rate of Out Of School Children in the country.
MARYAM UWAIS, Special adviser to President on special investment who made this known this morning while featuring on a televised programme said the migration of Almajiris’ to other zones of the country which has contributed to the increasing number of out of school kids can be put to bed.
Mrs. UWAIS, who is also the initiator and coordinator of the “At-Risk-Children” Programme, a new Presidential initiative aimed to bring basic social services and care to the approximately 13 Million out-of-school children across Nigeria, while speaking on the intervention put in place by the federal government and private organizations said they are engaging over 5million out of school kids with 5 thousand mentors to change the trajectory.
