COSTA RICA BEAT HOME-BASED SUPER EAGLES IN THURSDAY’S FRIENDLY MATCH

Qatar 2022 World Cup-bound Costa Rica defeated the Super Eagles of Nigeria 2-0 in an international friendly game early this morning.

The game which was the first clash between the two sides in the senior level saw the South Americans hit the back of the net in each half courtesy of OSCAR DUARTE and KENDALL WASTON.

The friendly encounter was executed by home-based Super Eagles players.

Super Eagles of Nigeria are billed to also face former European champions and World Cup bound Portugal in another friendly encounter next week Thursday at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.
