The Aare Egbe-Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Adegboyega Adegoke, has donated 20 million naira to the Faculty of Agriculture at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, in a bid to revitalize the faculty’s school farm to support sustainable food security across the institution.

Chief Adegoke, an alumnus of the faculty, made this generous contribution during the 13th Faculty Lecture and Award Presentation at Oduduwa Hall, OAU, Ile-Ife. The event, themed “Mitigating Increasing Food Prices: The Underlying Issues,” also saw him honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award in recognition of his numerous donations and projects benefiting the Faculty of Agriculture.

In his address, Chief Adegoke encouraged the university to develop a strategic plan to enhance daily production of at least one agricultural product on the faculty’s farm.

Expressing gratitude for the Distinguished Alumni Award, Chief Adegoke stated that this recognition motivates him to contribute further to the faculty’s growth and success.
