INEC Declares Incumbent Governor, Seyi Makinde, Winner of 2023 Governorship Election in Oyo State

Oyo state governor, SEYI MAKINDE has been re-elected as the State Governor after the Independent National Electoral Commission collated the governorship results from the 33 Local Governments in Oyo state today.

 

The returning officer after final collation announced that MAKINDE polled 563, 756 and was followed by candidate of the All Progressives Congress, TESLIM FOLARIN with 256,685, while Accord candidate, ADEBAYO ADELABU polled 38,387 votes.

 

The governorship election position was contested by 16 political parties in the state.
