48 INDIGENT SECONDARY STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM OLAWOYE FOUNDATION ANNUAL UTME SCHOLARSHIP, EXAM KITS

48 indigent secondary students in Ibadan the Oyo state capital have benefited from the free UTME scholarship programme organized by the Olawoye foundation.


The programme which took place at the NUT Teachers house, samonda Ibadan on Saturday March 2 ,2024, had the students and their parents engage in a get together with stakeholders of foundation and collection of free UTME examination kits which would help the students prepare ahead of the exam.
Speaking to our correspondent, the chairman Olawoye foundation, Alhaji MUSA OLAWOYE explained that the idea behind the scholarship was to give children from poor background opportunity to further their education in tertiary institutions of their choice by lifting UTME fee burden off the parents.

In their remarks, former chairman, Oyo SUBEB Prince SULAIMON ADEDIRAN, former Oyo state Heads of Service, Chief TAJUDEEN AREMU and other guests charged the beneficiaries to be focused and be ready to break the glass Celine not minding their background.

Some beneficiaries who spoke with Solutions FM’s correspondent thanked the Olawoye foundation for the kind gesture, while they promised to utilize the opportunity given to them.

The Olawoye Foundation which began 15 years has sponsored indigents of the state with WAEC scholarships and Micro credit scheme in the past.
