Shooting stars sports club management has passed a vote of confidence on coach GBENGA OGUNBOTE despite facing series of set backs in the first half of the 2023-2024 NPFL season.
The Oluyole Warlords finished first half of the season on the 11th spot of the NPFL log with a total of 23 points from 18 games .
Speaking during a media parley with journalists at the club’s Jericho house , 3sc’s chairman Honorable BABATUNDE OLANIYAN said Coach OGUNBOTE has proven him worth with the young crop of players by instilling discipline and winning mentality which has helped the the team, as it would be wrong and too early to start taking rash decision on the former Enugu Rangers tactician.
Recall Sunshine Stars of Akure fired coach EDIT AGOYE on Monday following an unimpressive run of form in the first half of the season where the Owena Waves finished on the 12th spot with 22 points from 19 games
On his part, Coach OGUNBOTE while speaking ahead of the second half of the season revealed that there would be some adjustments in the squad to help achieve their continental ticket dream.
He also requested for full support of the players and management to the dream a reality.
